Supported tokens
Which crypto you can fund a card with
PayNovaX accepts USDT on Tron and Ethereum, and USDC on Ethereum. Deposit any of those three, top up your virtual card from the balance, and spend it online. Stablecoins only, so the money backing your card does not move with the market between depositing it and spending it.
Every accepted asset and network
Three combinations, and the pairing matters as much as the token. Each deposit address in your account listens on exactly one network.
| Token | Network | Standard | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| USDTTether | Tron | TRC-20 | Usually the cheapest and quickest way to move USDT in. |
| USDTTether | Ethereum | ERC-20 | Widely supported by exchanges, but gas costs more than Tron. |
| USDCUSD Coin | Ethereum | ERC-20 | The only network we accept USDC on. Tron USDC will not arrive. |
Funding with USDT specifically — TRC-20 versus ERC-20, and the chains that will not arrive — is on the USDT page.
Picking one
Which one should you actually use?
For most people, USDT on Tron
Tron transfers are typically far cheaper than Ethereum and confirm quickly. Since both routes credit the same USDT balance, paying Ethereum gas to arrive at the same place rarely makes sense unless something forces your hand. The USDT page covers the two routes and the chains that will not credit.
Use Ethereum when your exchange makes you
Some exchanges and wallets only support ERC-20 withdrawals, and some accounts hold USDC rather than USDT. In either case Ethereum is the route, and the cost is whatever gas happens to be at the time you send.
Network fees are not our fees
Whatever the chain charges to move your tokens goes to the network, not to PayNovaX. It is set by demand at the moment you send, which is exactly why the choice of network is worth a few seconds of thought.
The combination that does not work
USDC on Tron is not supported. USDC exists on Tron, plenty of exchanges will happily let you withdraw it that way, and it is the assumption people make most often. PayNovaX accepts USDC on Ethereum only.
If you want to deposit over Tron because it is cheaper, send USDT instead. If you specifically hold USDC, send it over Ethereum.
Crypto sent over an unsupported network is generally not recoverable by anyone, so this is the one check worth making twice before you hit send.
What it costs
One percentage, charged once
The deposit fee is the only percentage PayNovaX takes. Topping up a card from your balance does not add one, and neither does spending.
2% when you deposit
Charged once, on the way in, on the amount you deposit.
Nothing extra to top up a card
Moving your balance onto a card carries no further percentage, however many times you do it.
No exchange rate markup
Spending converts at the card issuer's rate. PayNovaX does not add a margin on top.
In practice: deposit $1,000 of USDT and the fee is $20, leaving $980 credited to your account. Whether you move it onto one card or spread it across several, and whether you top up once or twenty times, does not change what you paid. Issuing a card carries its own one-off charge, which is set out in full on the fees page.
