Fees
What PayNovaX costs
Two charges, and that is the whole of it: 2% when you deposit crypto, and US$50 to issue a card. Topping a card up costs nothing further, and we do not mark up the exchange rate when you spend.
The page below sets out each line, works a real example through end to end, and is straight about the one charge we have not published yet.
The schedule
Every charge, in one place
- Depositing crypto
- Applied to the amount you deposit, charged once as it arrives. This is the only percentage PayNovaX takes.
- Issuing a card
- A one-off charge per card, taken when the card is issued. The amount shown when you request a card is the amount that applies.
- Topping up a card
- Moving money from your account balance onto a card carries no further percentage, so reloading a card repeatedly does not cost more than funding it once.
- Spending on the card
- Where a purchase is in another currency, the issuing institution converts at its own rate. PayNovaX does not add a margin on top of it.
- Withdrawing crypto to an external address
- Sending crypto out incurs the blockchain's own transfer cost, which the network sets and we do not control. We are confirming whether a PayNovaX fee applies on top of that and will publish it here rather than guess at it.

Network cost applies
Blockchain network costs are never set by us. When you send crypto to your deposit address you pay whatever that network charges, which is why the network you choose matters more than anything on this page for small deposits.

Not on the bill
What we do not charge for
No surcharge on advertising spend
Some crypto card providers add a percentage when the merchant category says you are paying an ad platform. We do not, which is why funding ad accounts is the case this suits best.
Cards for ad spendNo fee to reload a card
Topping up is free however often you do it, so a card you reload weekly costs no more than one you fund once and forget about.
No exchange rate markup
Conversion happens at the issuing institution's rate. We do not quietly widen the spread, which is the fee most card products never show you.
